7 things you should do 30 days before matric exam
We have exactly one month left before the most important exam of the year - Matric. Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) have already declared 10th board exam routine and this is the season that matric students have pulled their socks and are giving their best in covering the entire syllabus. Here are the seven things you need to do if you are a matric student this year
1.Review the Syllabus:
Do it thoroughly - by this time you should have covered the entire syllabus at-least once. But if you haven’t there is nothing to panic about. Just identify the untouched areas and assess the time needed to cover them. As the study time is very limited from now, just concentrate only on the additional areas that you can actually complete before exam along with revision of the covered syllabus topics.
2.Maintain a Strict Time Table
As you have only 30 days in hand before exam, calculate the maximum number of hours you can actually study. To make even clearer for you we’ve derived a simple math
30 days x 12 average hours per day: 360 hours
360 hours for 6 subjects : 60 hours of actual study time you have now for each subject.
We are not going into the Seconds of time level details to scare you
Hence, your time table should have the hours systematically distributed among all six subjects. Divide time of the day for each of the subjects. You may find a particular subject very interesting hence you like to spend more time on it. Another subject may be too easy for you and you may think not to waste much time on it. You may prefer to study math late in the night as it keeps you away from falling asleep or social studies in the morning just for the fact that early morning is good time for memoizing something. Prepare the time table based on your convenience but remember the objective of it - to get best out of it.
3.Drink lot of Water:
Ever wondered why we feel sleepier during exam preparation days? It’s because during this phase our brain cells perform more operations than normal. Also there is a constant stress on mind thinking about the upcoming exams. Hence, the mind suffers from oxygen deficiency and tends to sleep often. You can inhale oxygen up to certain limit that you will anyway do. Hence, solution here is – Drink lot of fresh water. Drinking more fresh water oxygenate our body. Occasional consumption of Glucose-Water also helps to keep mind fresh and energetic during exam time.
4.Eat Healthy:
Healthy mind resides in a healthy body. It is a time you can’t afford falling sick. Maintain a healthy diet during this last month before exam and strictly follow that.

Avoid-
- masala & spicy food
- junk food
- aerated drinks (cold drinks)
- any other food that you are allergic to
5.Do not Sacrifice Your Sleep:
We discussed about keeping your mind fresh to avoid falling asleep quite often above. But it does not mean you should skip normal sleep routine. In fact this last month you should sleep well to keep your brain ready to read, understand and memorise different study topics.
6.Stay Away from Negativity:
Einstein said "A negative man has problem for every solution". Be careful when talking to someone who can demotivate you during this period of time. If someone still does that – JUST IGNORE.
7.Review Your Progress:
Do it on an interval of every 2-3 days, alter the plan and time table if required. You need to track your study performance to understand whether your plan is going well or not. And based on that adjust the study time table.
